Dr. Bhagwant Singh Ratta completed his MBBS, MS, and Dip.Paediatric Surgery from esteemed institutions such as Karnataka University, Mumbai University, and London University. His pursuit of excellence led him to obtain additional qualifications including FICS (Fellow of the International College of Surgeons), FAIS (Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India), and FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons).

Dr. Ratta began his career as a Resident Surgeon at Khan Hospital in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, from 1982 to 1983. He further honed his skills as a Registrar in Paediatric Surgery at K.E.M. Hospital and later served at Khoula Hospital in Muscat, Oman, from 1985 to 1987. During this period he setup the 1st department of Pediatric Surgery for Oman. Seeking advanced training, he worked as a Registrar and Senior Registrar in Paediatric Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street in London, from 1987 to 1990. After 1990, He also trained in Lyon, France in Anorectal Malformations, and in Tubingen, Germany, he trained in the management of incontinence of urine and bowel in children. He trained at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in minimally invasive surgery for children. He was a fellow in pediatric urology at the Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston USA, and in Cedar Sinai Hospital, LA, USA
